Coming along...

Several times a week I get asked, "How are things coming with the Farm?" Sometimes there is news to share, but often times I simply say, "Well, things are coming along. As soon as we have all the money we need we will make an offer!"

The kids have started asking, too.
"Mommy, when are we moving to the farm? I just can't wait!"

It is fun to see their joy and anticipation. It is fun to hear all the things they think we will NEED on the farm. Cats, Dogs, Chickens, Cows, Horses...
a mudpile.

I am excited, too. And sometimes I find myself asking God, "So, how ARE things going with the farm? What's YOUR timeline?" And I always feel like He tells me to just keep putting one foot in front of the other. To just keep being faithful.

It's fun to think of us on the farm. Learning, growing, being stretched into the new areas God has for us. I imagine making apple pies with lots of eager hands, and washing lots of muddy clothes, and hearing the sound of lots of happy voices. I imagine my husband teaching kids with his creativity and patience and seeing God do His amazing work on lives. I am excited. I know that even with all my thinking and imagining...I still have no idea what He is up to. And I guess that is part of the fun, too.

Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
